Why Ridge Park matters to us.

We have grown up camping at Ridge Park, when there were no trees whatsoever, only a long wooden dock with no swimming area, and not a camp kitchen or any other place to hide from the elements in site. Despite there being nothing but prairies and miles of natural lakeshore, we and so many other Southern Albertans have fallen in love with this little piece of paradise in the prairies. I’m not sure who’s idea it was to make a little campground in the middle of no where, but I sure am grateful for whoever had the vision for this place so many years ago.

Over the years, the County of Warner has spent countless hours and resources trying to make Ridge Park what it is today. Which is, a beautiful tree-laden campground, fishing, and boating destination for all Southern Alberta residents to spend our summers at. Though our summers may be short, it is awesome to have this amazing resource within minutes of so many of us who call Southern Alberta our home.

We want you to feel the same way we do about our beautiful lake set amidst the wide open Alberta prairies. Come experience the vast range of birds, wildlife, lake activities and pure relaxation Southern Albertans have known for years. Whether it’s getting away from the rush of the city, meeting up with family, or just needing some time alone, Ridge Park is exactly what everyone needs, a home away from home, if only for the night. We hope you can visit us here soon!
